Our take on Live Vital

Live Vital prices its GLP-1s as protocols rather than monthly plans. Each treatment page prints a "starting at" monthly figure and, next to it, the total for a 10-week protocol, and the monthly figure is roughly one-third of that total. Ten weeks is a little over two calendar months, so the calendar-month equivalent of the stated starting protocol is higher than the headline: $130.01 per calendar month by our math. The FAQ says plans are billed as a 10-week or three-month protocol and that prices apply only if you're prescribed. The compounded semaglutide cost guide shows how monthly programs compare.

Compounded tirzepatide follows the same 10-week protocol format, about $238.72 per calendar month by our math. Neither page prints a price for a higher dose, so ask whether the protocol price holds as your dose rises. On the upside, nothing about the price is hidden behind the intake: both totals are on public pages before you answer a question. The compounded tirzepatide guide explains the drug.

An optional phone consultation is part of its advertised care pathway. Live Vital names its medical lead, Dr. Patrick Taylor, whom the site identifies as a family medicine physician, and its clinicians review each intake within 24 to 48 hours. You can do the 10-minute online intake on your own or book a free 15-minute phone consult first. Your clinician reviews your progress before each dose change, and you can message the care team through the patient portal at any time.

The weak spot is the refund policy. Its refunds page says you can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the billing period, and that dispensed medication generally isn't refundable. But where it should explain what happens if you pay and aren't prescribed, the page still shows an unfinished placeholder note. Ask support, in writing, whether you'll be charged before a clinician reviews you and what's refunded if you're declined.

Live Vital says a licensed 503A pharmacy, which it does not name, compounds and tests the medication. The FAQ describes five to seven days of total processing followed by overnight cold-pack shipping. Its current state page lists all 50 states for this care, while some other treatments have narrower availability. One storage point needs clarification before a ten-week order. The FAQ says the pharmacy label governs a disagreement about a vial’s use period. FDA’s current GLP-1 advice says to discard a multi-dose vial within 28 days after first use, even if a compounder allows longer. Ask how the number of vials and their instructions fit the protocol. The storage guide explains the distinction; service comparisons are on the semaglutide lineup.

What Live Vital costs

Live Vital prices by product · Billing: Monthly
ProductReal monthly cost
Compounded semaglutideInjection$130.01/mo
Compounded tirzepatideInjection$238.72/mo

Prices are taken from Live Vital's own site and current as of this update. Real monthly cost folds in required fees and turns four-week billing into calendar months; that's our math.

Compounded semaglutide skips FDA approval: no one at the FDA judges whether it is safe, whether it works, or how well it was made before a pharmacy sends it out.

What signing up looks like

  1. Intake or a free call

Fill out the 10-minute online intake yourself, or book a free 15-minute phone consult with the medical team first.

  2. A clinician reviews it

A licensed clinician on Dr. Taylor's team reviews your history within 24 to 48 hours and prescribes only if it's appropriate.

  3. A 503A pharmacy compounds it

The provider says an unnamed licensed 503A pharmacy prepares and tests the prescribed preparation; confirm its identity and license.

  4. Overnight cold-pack delivery

The FAQ describes five to seven days of processing, then overnight cold-pack shipping. Ask how refills and vial-use limits fit the protocol.

Who prescribes, and the pharmacy

The provider says licensed clinicians on its medical team, led by family physician Dr. Patrick Taylor, review intakes and prescribe, mostly from the written intake. A licensed 503A compounding pharmacy regulated by state boards prepares each order; Live Vital doesn't name it.

Where Live Vital does well

  • Each GLP-1 page prints the full 10-week protocol total before you start the intake.
  • Names its medical lead, Dr. Patrick Taylor, and says a clinician reviews every intake within 24 to 48 hours.
  • A free 15-minute phone consult with the medical team is available before you commit.
  • Your clinician reviews your progress before each dose change, with unlimited portal messaging.
  • Its current state list covers all 50 states; the site says HSA or FSA funds may cover eligible expenses.

What to check first

  • The monthly figure divides a 10-week total by three. Work out the calendar-month cost before comparing.
  • The refund rule for patients who aren't prescribed is still a placeholder. Ask support in writing first.
  • No higher-dose price is printed. Ask whether the protocol price holds as your dose increases.
  • The 503A pharmacy isn't named. Ask which pharmacy will prepare your medication.
  • Its vial-use FAQ needs clarification against FDA’s 28-day discard advice. Ask how the ten-week supply is packaged.

It fits you if

You want to talk to a named medical team before starting, see the full protocol total up front, and don't mind paying per 10-week protocol.

Look elsewhere if

You want a written refund rule before you pay, a standard monthly bill, or a price that's stated to hold at every dose.
