PlexusDx review
The short answer: PlexusDx charges $189 a month for compounded tirzepatide month to month, at any dose, with no membership. Its lower "starts at" price is a 12-month plan paid up front.

Our take on PlexusDx
PlexusDx lists compounded tirzepatide at $189 and compounded semaglutide at $149 on the month-to-month plan. Its terms include independent clinical care, required live consultations, prescribed medication, applicable injection supplies, dispensing, standard shipping and platform support, with no separate membership. That does not include every possible expense. Outside laboratory work, specialist or emergency care, optional add-on medicines, patient-caused replacement medication and applicable taxes can be separate. For the same GLP-1 medication and plan, the stated price does not increase solely because the clinician changes the dose. A switch to another medication uses its own price.
The lowest headline rate belongs to a twelve-month prepaid plan. Three-, six- and twelve-month plans are charged in full after clinical approval and renew for the same term unless stopped. The terms require affirmative agreement before raising an active patient’s renewal price; an unaccepted increase may instead lead to notice that a legacy plan will not renew. This is more specific than an unconditional lifetime-price promise. Canceling a prepaid plan ordinarily stops its next renewal without refunding the current term. Already-paid treatment remains subject to clinical appropriateness. The billing checklist helps separate a quoted equivalent, the amount committed and the next renewal.
The payment descriptions differ in a way worth resolving. Product pages say cards are charged when the prescription is sent to the pharmacy. The terms and refund policy instead permit capture after clinical approval, before transmission. Both say no treatment charge is captured if treatment is declined. The policy provides a full refund on timely cancellation after approval but before pharmacy transmission; afterward a change of mind generally does not qualify. Separate protections cover medical discontinuation and an inability to provide remaining treatment: unused, not-yet-dispensed prepaid months can be refunded under the stated conditions. Ask which payment event applies to the order and how to confirm transmission.
Care is attributed to Lone Star Virtual Health, with Bask Health identified as the telehealth platform. These are company disclosures, not independent verification of a patient’s treating clinician or license. The terms exclude Medicaid enrollees even if they would self-pay, and make other availability dependent on clinical eligibility and applicable licensure. A phone or video visit may be requested. The dispensing pharmacy is unnamed and can vary; a patient may request another pharmacy subject to availability and legal requirements. The pharmacy-check guide explains how to verify the actual assignment. Three to five business days of preparation precede UPS 2nd Day Air transit; this is not a five-day approval-to-door guarantee.
Each molecule is advertised as an injection or dissolving tablet at the same plan price, with a separate microdose category. Equal pricing does not establish equal absorption or clinical effects. These compounded formulations are not the approved branded products, and the optional genetic test does not determine which medication a patient should use. The tirzepatide guide and microdosing evidence guide explain those limits. In the portal, a pause can freeze billing, fulfillment, remaining prepaid time and the renewal clock, with clinical reassessment possible on return. Email cancellation requests should arrive at least three business days before renewal. For damaged, missing or temperature-concerning deliveries, the policy generally asks for notice within twenty-four hours of recorded delivery.

Prices are taken from PlexusDx's own site and current as of this update. Real monthly cost folds in required fees and turns four-week billing into calendar months; that's our math.
On its site, with the drug not named: GLP-1 injection: Starts at $69/mo.
Compounded semaglutide skips FDA approval: no one at the FDA judges whether it is safe, whether it works, or how well it was made before a pharmacy sends it out.

What signing up looks like
Submit the clinical intake
Share accurate treatment history and medicines. Lone Star clinicians decide whether treatment is appropriate; the terms exclude Medicaid enrollees.
Confirm approval and the charge event
The terms allow capture after approval, while product pages say pharmacy transmission. Ask for the binding timing; declined treatment incurs no treatment charge.
Check the prescription and pharmacy
Confirm the assigned dispenser, formulation and instructions. The terms permit another-pharmacy request subject to availability and legal requirements.
Track fulfillment and renewal
Preparation is typically three to five business days before UPS transit. Manage renewals or pauses in the portal and report delivery concerns promptly.
Who prescribes, and the pharmacy
PlexusDx identifies Lone Star Virtual Health for independent clinical care and Bask Health as its telehealth platform. It refers to licensed partner pharmacies without naming the actual dispenser; assignment can vary. These disclosures do not independently verify a treating clinician or pharmacy license. A requested alternative pharmacy remains subject to availability and legal requirements.
Where PlexusDx does well
- Publishes monthly and prepaid GLP-1 plan totals and distinguishes the upfront commitment.
- Terms identify the independent clinical group and telehealth platform.
- Defines included services and separately chargeable expenses rather than treating every cost as included.
- Refund policy includes specified medical-discontinuation and fulfillment-failure protections.
- A portal pause can preserve unused prepaid treatment time, subject to clinical reassessment.
What to check first
- Product-page payment timing differs from the terms: pharmacy transmission versus clinical approval.
- The lowest advertised equivalent requires a longer upfront commitment and automatic renewal.
- The terms exclude Medicaid enrollees even when paying cash.
- The actual dispensing pharmacy is unnamed; availability and assignment require confirmation.
- Dissolving tablets and microdose marketing do not establish equivalent effects or longevity benefits.
It fits you if
You want published monthly and prepaid GLP-1 prices and a named clinical-group disclosure, and can confirm the charge event, pharmacy assignment and prepaid refund conditions.
Look elsewhere if
You need a named dispensing pharmacy before enrolling, are excluded by the Medicaid policy, or cannot commit to the financial and cancellation terms.

Questions about PlexusDx
- How much does PlexusDx cost a month?
- The monthly GLP-1 plan lists tirzepatide at $189 and semaglutide at $149. Prepaid equivalents require the full term’s charge after approval. Ask about separate labs, optional medicines, taxes and replacement costs.
- Does the GLP-1 price increase with the prescribed dose?
- The terms say a dose change alone does not change the same medication and plan price. Switching medications uses the new treatment price; other products can have strength-specific pricing.
- How do cancellation and pause differ?
- Cancellation stops future renewal without an ordinary prorated refund of the current prepaid term. A portal pause freezes remaining treatment time and the renewal clock. Email requests should arrive at least three business days before renewal.
- When can I request a refund?
- The policy provides full cancellation before pharmacy transmission, specified refunds for medical discontinuation or inability to provide remaining treatment, and a fulfillment-failure request if UPS has not taken possession within ten business days after transmission. Conditions apply; a later change of mind is generally excluded.
- Are PlexusDx dissolving tablets equivalent to the injections?
- The site advertises both forms, but a shared ingredient and equal price do not establish equal exposure, safety or effectiveness. Ask what evidence supports the specific preparation and why it is appropriate.
