How this lineup is built

Every program here prescribes the Wegovy pill, Novo Nordisk's daily semaglutide tablet. It's the brand product: the FDA approved Wegovy tablets on December 22, 2025, for adult weight reduction and maintenance and reduction of major cardiovascular events in adults with established cardiovascular disease and qualifying overweight or obesity.

One thing to know before you read the prices. Scores and prices come from the full GLP-1 pill lineup, where each program is placed on its starting-dose pill price. For some programs that's the Wegovy pill; for others it's a different pill they also sell, such as a compounded semaglutide lozenge or Foundayo. The line under each name says which product the price belongs to, and the review shows the Wegovy pill price wherever the program prints one.

A brand pill makes the program the thing to compare

With a compounded product, two programs can sell quite different things under one name. With the Wegovy pill, the tablet is the same everywhere: same maker, same strengths, same label. What differs is the program around it.

That shifts the comparison toward three questions. How is the drug billed, and by whom? What does the program charge on top for its care? And what happens at each dose step, when the maker's price changes?

Several programs here bill in two parts: a membership for the clinical care, and the medication through a pharmacy at or near the maker's self-pay price. One program's page doesn't say whether its figure covers both. Another takes a set amount off the first month, then charges its standing price.

The Care chip still matters. A daily pill with a 30-minute fasting rule and four dose steps in its first three months is a lot to manage alone, so a stated follow-up rhythm is worth more here than a few dollars.

What the Wegovy label says, in brief

  • How it's taken. Once a day, in the morning, on an empty stomach with up to 4 ounces of water, then nothing to eat, drink or swallow for at least 30 minutes.
  • Dose steps. The label starts at 1.5 mg daily and moves to 4 mg, then 9 mg, then a 25 mg maintenance dose, a step roughly every 30 days. Your prescriber sets and adjusts the dose.
  • The trial result. In OASIS 4, adults without diabetes on the 25 mg pill lost 13.6% of body weight over 64 weeks, against 2.2% on placebo. Stomach side effects were the most common.
  • Not interchangeable. Rybelsus and Ozempic tablets are semaglutide pills for type 2 diabetes with different doses. Milligrams don't carry over from one to another.
  • Who shouldn't take it. Contraindications include a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma, MEN 2 and prior serious hypersensitivity to semaglutide or an ingredient. The label's boxed warning covers thyroid C-cell tumors seen in rodents.

What a month of the Wegovy pill costs

NovoCare, Novo Nordisk's own self-pay pharmacy, prices the Wegovy pill by dose: one price at 1.5 mg, a higher one at 4 mg, and a third at 9 mg and 25 mg. Those are medication prices only, with no program care included, and the oral semaglutide guide lists them.

Through telehealth programs, 3 that we track print a month-to-month Wegovy pill price, running $298–$350 with a median of $349. The gap above the maker's price is mostly the program's membership or care fee.

Because the maker's price rises at 4 mg and again at 9 mg, a program that passes the medication price through will cost more by month three. Ask for the price at 9 mg and 25 mg, not just the first month.

Prices on this page run $298 to $349 a month, but read them as each program's starting pill price on the wider lineup, not as its Wegovy pill price. Where a program here doesn't print a month-to-month Wegovy pill price that can be compared, ask for it before you sign up.

How to read this lineup

  • Every program here prescribes the brand Wegovy pill. Scores come unchanged from the full GLP-1 pill lineup.
  • The price is the starting-dose price of the pill each program is placed on in that lineup, required fees added. Check the line under the name to see whether that pill is the Wegovy tablet.
  • A Partner tag, when one appears, marks a program that may pay us if you start care through our link. The labeled Partner box shows above the list only when a partner is on it.

What to ask a Wegovy pill program

  1. Is the price you quote the medication, your care, or both?
  2. Who bills me for the tablets: you, a pharmacy, or Novo Nordisk's own pharmacy?
  3. What will I pay at 4 mg, 9 mg and 25 mg?
  4. Is there a discount on the first month only, and what is the standing price after it?
  5. How often will a clinician check in while my dose steps up?
  6. Can I use insurance or a savings offer, and does that change your fee?

Questions about this lineup

How much is the Wegovy pill through a telehealth program?
Among the 3 programs we track that print a month-to-month price, the Wegovy pill runs $298–$350. NovoCare also sells the medication alone, at a price that rises with the dose; the oral semaglutide guide lists it.
How do you get the Wegovy pill?
You need a prescription. A program on this page can prescribe it after an online intake, or your own doctor can. The tablets are then filled by a pharmacy, which may be the program's, a mail-order pharmacy or Novo Nordisk's self-pay pharmacy.
Is the Wegovy pill the same as compounded oral semaglutide?
No. The Wegovy pill is FDA-approved and was tested in its own trials. A compounded semaglutide lozenge, drop or tablet is made by a pharmacy, isn't FDA-approved, and cannot inherit the brand’s clinical trial results.
Why isn't the price on this page the Wegovy pill price?
Scores and prices come from the full GLP-1 pill lineup, which places each program on one starting-dose pill price. For some programs that's another pill they sell. Each review shows the Wegovy pill price where the program prints one.

The Care & cost score

Every provider gets a 0 to 100 Care & cost score for each drug it prescribes, built from four checks: what a new patient pays per month at the starting dose (35), how care works (25), whether the pharmacy is named (25) and how clearly prices and terms are shown (15).
