Our take on Fella Health
Fella Health's current offer is a pause on new signups, with continued account access and support for existing members. The homepage and offer-review notice both say the company is reviewing its offers. A new patient therefore cannot treat an older Fella price as an available weight-care plan. For an existing member, the immediate questions concern renewal, access to the care team and the agreement already paid for. Compare available weight-care programs separately from that existing contract. A public enrollment pause does not establish that every membership has ended or that an individual should change treatment.
The public announcement says Fella has resolved a dispute with Eli Lilly about compounded GLP-1 advertising and sales. It says compounded GLP-1 offerings will no longer be advertised on its platform or in third-party marketing, while patients can discuss approved obesity medicines with their healthcare providers. Those are the company's statements. They do not establish a court outcome, coverage decision or current prescription for a member. The paused offer page does not name a preparation, price, supply or dispensing pharmacy. It would be misleading to fill those gaps with an older compounded-drug menu and present it as an available purchase.
The public membership agreement covers direct obesity care, including evaluation, management, access to the medical team and medication prescribing when appropriate. It names Fella Medical Group as the practice. The website terms place the platform under Aios; the privacy policy uses a different corporate form for that business name. That discrepancy is unresolved here and should not be used to invent a change of ownership or identify a particular contracting party. A member should obtain the agreement and assigned medical-group information from the account. Platform support, the prescribing professional and the dispensing pharmacy can have separate roles even when a single brand appears on the website.
For pricing, the useful starting document is the member's selected term. The agreement says the membership fee is stated at signup and paid in advance, and it acknowledges longer plans chosen by some members. A fee covering several months should not be treated as an amount that can always be canceled and recovered each month. The monthly cost calculator can organize a real contract once the amount paid and coverage period are known. It cannot establish a current Fella offer from historical advertisements. Keep medication paid separately, membership renewal and any unrelated healthcare expenses in their own categories.
The agreement's automatic renewal keeps the term length selected for the initial membership. It also describes termination by advance written notice, with services continuing until the effective termination date. Revoking authorization for recurring card payments has a separate notice period and does not say that amounts already owed are forgiven. The prepaid-plan explanation is useful for separating those actions. A member should establish the next payment date, the cancellation deadline, where written notice must go and how confirmation will arrive. A blocked card or unanswered message is not the same evidence as a confirmed end date.
The ordinary fee provision describes paid membership charges as nonrefundable except under a referenced refund policy. The apparent policy link currently opens the paused-offers notice, leaving that linked route incomplete for someone seeking the exceptions. Fella's separate guarantee terms are reachable, but they concern eligible existing weight-loss members and have their own conditions. A cancellation request and a guarantee request should not be assumed to follow the same rules. Keep the membership version, payment receipt and support response together. The program billing checklist helps identify which charge, recipient and contractual exception a question actually concerns.
The weight-loss guarantee requires a qualifying membership period, regular tracking and completion of medical and laboratory steps within the stated time. Its rules also address starting body-mass index, medication adherence and weight loss relative to starting weight. A request belongs within the published seventh-month window, rather than at any point after joining. Returning members, early cancellation and older signup dates can fall outside the terms. The condition table preserves the actual thresholds. These are eligibility requirements for a financial promise, not a forecast of how much an individual will lose or a reason to continue a treatment that the clinician considers unsuitable.
The guarantee distinguishes a membership that included medication from a pharmacy bill paid separately. The latter costs are excluded from its refund coverage. Fella also describes a prorated refund when intolerable side effects prevent continuation after working with its team, and a different refund situation when a member cannot begin after medical review. These provisions do not establish an unconditional money-back policy for every complaint or missed expectation. Clinical concerns should be discussed with the treating professional, with the billing question handled separately. A request should identify the applicable provision and evidence without treating a refund rule as medical guidance.
The clinical agreement limits the program to obesity treatment and excludes emergencies and unrelated healthcare. General response estimates differ for business-day and other communications, and the practice does not guarantee availability. Existing members should clarify appointments, refill authorization and who responds to symptoms during the pause. The visit preparation tool can organize those questions alongside the current prescription and treatment history. Neither ongoing account access nor a general promise of support guarantees immediate clinician contact. The member's care plan matters more than an assumption that administrative access preserves every previous service, medicine or refill schedule unchanged.
The practice agreement describes self-payment rather than insurance billing. It says the practice does not participate in public or private plans, does not bill insurance for its services and does not expect reimbursement of the membership fee. It also says membership is not a substitute for health insurance. Those statements concern practice services, rather than a determination of coverage for a particular approved drug. The insurance coverage guide separates a provider's fee from an insurer's medication decision. Current state coverage, the assigned pharmacy and any required tests remain questions for the actual clinical arrangement, not facts established by an old product name.
Fella publishes separate platform and medical privacy documents. The website policy describes analytics, advertising, marketing choices, limited operational access and information retained after an account is deleted. The clinical notice addresses protected health information and permitted uses for treatment, payment and operations, with authorization requirements for certain other uses. It says the practice voluntarily substantially follows health-privacy standards while describing itself as not technically a covered entity. That is their published characterization rather than a legal determination. A member requesting a clinical record should identify the responsible practice rather than assuming that deleting a platform login also deletes medical documentation.
The privacy policy describes opt-outs from some marketing, including arrangements where third parties may already hold contact information. It also states a limitation concerning encryption of outgoing email and explains that not every retained record is removed after an account request. These disclosures need their original scope. They do not establish that all medical information is sold, that every message is insecure or that a request has already been honored. A member can ask which communication channel is intended for clinical documents, how to access or amend a record and where to direct a privacy complaint. Keep those questions separate from ordinary subscription cancellation.
The present conclusion is different for a prospective and an existing member. New enrollment is paused; an existing member can still review payment terms, guarantee eligibility and care arrangements. Someone considering another service can compare Zealthy, Emerge Weight Loss and Lemonaid Health using the same questions about the actual prescription, pharmacy, monitoring and renewal. No comparison establishes individual medical suitability. The current Fella notice should take priority over older promotional figures, and a clinician should guide treatment decisions. A written account of the selected term and cancellation date helps settle the separate financial question.

Questions about Fella Health
- Can a new patient join Fella Health now?
- The current homepage and offer-review notice say new signups are temporarily paused while offers are reviewed. Existing members can continue accessing their account and care team.
- What does membership cost during the pause?
- The current offer page does not establish an available enrollment price. The membership agreement refers to the fee and term selected at signup; existing members should use their own agreement and renewal notice.
- Does stopping a card payment cancel the membership?
- The agreement describes separate rules for written termination and revoking recurring payment authorization. Revocation does not promise forgiveness of amounts already owed. Obtain the effective cancellation and next-charge dates in writing.
- Is the weight-loss guarantee unconditional?
- No. It applies only to eligible existing weight-management members, with participation requirements, exclusions and a request window. Separately paid pharmacy medication costs are excluded.
- Does the pause mean existing care has ended?
- The current update says existing care continues. That does not establish a particular prescription, refill schedule or appointment. Existing members should confirm those arrangements with their care team.
